Charles (CJ) Rich, Jr. is the Founder/Director of Hands Held High, a Cooperative Ministry of Hope for the Hungry. He served nine years at Hope, first as Director of International Development, then Assistant to the President and finally as Director of Equipping Ministries. His vision is to encourage, exhort, equip and empower indigenous Christian leaders in nations where Christ’s Light is dim and His Voice is heard small. This is accomplished through active ministry and microenterprise while building relationships in the developing world, especially among unreached people groups. CJ is an alumnus of Oral Roberts University as well a graduate of the Mighty in Spirit Ministry Training Institute and Hope for the Hungry’s Missions School. He has ministered throughout the world, including India, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Ghana, Uganda, Haiti, Guatemala, and Mexico. CJ has been married to Carrla for 30 years and they have four children, all of whom have served on short term missions trips throughout Latin America and/or Haiti. They also have four young grandchildren.
